Il Chianti is a family run restaurant with delightful standard Italian fare that transports you to Italy. They have a wonderfully stocked wine cellar and always have great parings with their home-cooked food. They serve the various pastas with lamb, beef, chicken and pork. Ever since "Giovanni" closed in 2008 (followed by the demise of the wonderful "La Sceppa" in Edmonton) we have been looking for a good authentic Italian restaurant close to home. Make a reservation and then sit back and let them take care of you. Always a pleasure to take clients for casual meetings and good food. They will explain the dishes if you are not familiar with this type of Italian cuisine.

Famiy owned and operated, definitely a local favorite. Wonderful northern italian with sauces to die for. The veal is all terrific, the pepper steak is outstanding and any of the pastas are great. We keep going back because of the quality and service. Ask about the specials because they are always exceptional.
