Coming from the UK and travelling in the Rockies there was an aray of rich meats that we don't have an abundence of. I had the bison short ribs and they were amazing. So rich and delicious. The wine was really tasty too. It was quite loud in the restaurant itself and woul have appreciated the music turned down just... More

A varied and interesting menu - the quality of food & service were excellent. The bison ribs were really tender, the wine list either by the bottle or glass was extensive. The dessert menu offered some usual options like ice cream or creme brulee, but other more unusual ones like cast iron coffee cake & chocolate cremeux - well worth... More

We had the Bison meatballs and the smoked bison pizza. Both were excellent. Also, the elderflower punch bowl was very refreshing on a hot summer day. There is a patio as well.

We had the chance to dine in both venues. the bear street cafe has great pizza and very friendly staff. The restaurant is located a block behind the main drag and is a quiet get away where you can you can gaze at the mountains and people watch at the same time. There is a bike rental and a bakery... This was an excellent dinner with little to be faulted. The food was fantastic. We started with a shared plate on which everything was very tasty, especially the meats. There was a reasonable variety of main courses. The bison short ribs were exceptional, strong tasting and surrounded by a selection of vegetables. Service too was very good. We enjoyed the... More

We had a delicious dinner at the Bison. The server was helpful, attentive, but unobtrusive and there was an excellent wine list with lots of variety. The food was delicious. As we dined later in the evening, the only disappointment was that they were out of the pork tenderloin, but the second choices were very tasty. We really enjoyed our... More

I had the bison short ribs. It was served with vegetables in a skillet. It was tender and delicious. We sat on the roof terrace and this was great since the spring was really kicking in. We had great service from a friendly waitress with a great sense of humour. The good was good. Great evening.

We had a lovely dinner at the Bison. Truly one of our best ever in any venue anywhere. The lamb was to die for! Would highly recommend for a relaxed but high end meal. Menu is fairly simple, but delish. Didn't make it back to try their tavern, but we heard it was good.

The duck was excellently prepared and plenty of it. The rack of lamb was very good but only 3 ribs, too small a portion for cost of about $40. Server/batman from Beaver Lodge was very personable and helpful. A definite place to enjoy good food and good views. Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because... More
