What word says more than "charming"? Perhaps we just go with degrees of charming, and this one is at the top. As a bonus, the food was simply outstanding. Might stay at this lodge next time!

we were told of this lodge by our snoshoeing guide, we had passed by highway 93 many times without noticinig the building which is well hidden by trees, yet very close to the highway.
It is an old lodge built in 1923 and kept to its original style. it is rustic and yet elegant, very charming.

If your idea of the rockies is a log cabin in the middle of the wilderness, this is it. Except it comes with some of the best scones you will ever taste and food that matches the atmosphere.
Food was very good, atmosphere is very nice. Fire heating the room, friendly staff, and 3' of snow on the front lawn in April. Going to have to stay for a night next time.
This review is of the restaurant only. We hosted a dinner for our family from Oregon before a family wedding at the end of March, 2012. We were a group of 9. The service was impeccable and the food outstanding! The menu is not loaded with lots of choices but there certainly was something for everyone, from Alberta beef to...

Normally I'm not too impressed by burgers. Sure, some places use interesting ingredients and they're unique, taste great, whatever. I usually forget what was on them or what they tasted like a day later. But the bison burger at this place was amazing. The bison tasted fresh, not like some frozen pattie a lot of places seem to have. The...

The Storm Mountain Lodge is one of the best kept secrets of Banff and area. I have been living in Calgary for over 20 years and just recently found out about this gem nestled in the Canadian Rockies. My fiancée and I decided to go the Banff for the night to relax a little but wanted to try something a little different, somewhere we'd never been before. After reading positive reviews of the restaurant and noticing the unique location we thought we'd give it a shot. We are so happy we did. The restaurant is set in a...

We visited Banff last week (March 13-18), and went to Storm Mountain Lodge for dinner. If you're in Banff, make a point to have dinner there! The atmosphere is just great.
It's small, so make a reservation. Probably 10 tables. The night we were there, it varied from a heavy snow shower, to a clear view across the valley. Just...
