Visited in early April with the family. Had high expectations from reading reviews of previous visitors but was slightly disappointed.
While the service was fine the food was just ordinary good quality pub food but at a higher than normal price. We had been led to believe that this was one of the best places to eat in the area...

Food was excellent, staff very friendly and caring towards our dog who was made to feel very comfortable.
It has all the atmosphere of an old country pub, but the kitchen goes well beyond "pub grub". As soon as you walk in the bar you know you've come to the right place. No tables unless you have booked. Excellent food, wonderful staff. Thank you for 6 fab evenings. Do book before you go. Usually full of PHB people from Duloe Manor.
We visited with our young daughters aged 5 & 18 months and the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was to much trouble, the food was perfect and the service 1st class. As a family we eat out on a regular basis & it takes alot to impress us but this place certainly did. Would highly recommend &...

At last The Plough finally sorted there staff, great new manageress , and staff who actually have time for customers as well as serving great food , if this keeps up I won't get in :( St Keyne local.
Old pretty pub, great friendly service, lovely fish and chips/ sausage and mash all locally sourced.
Was expecting that food would be very good but was just average. The menu has changed - a pity the rickety old sewing machine tables have not :-(.
