We had lunch with a group we took to Puebla. Everyone was in heaven with their food choices. This restaurant is the best! The food, the service, the choices tequilas and the ambiance! I cannot imagine not eating at this great place if you visit Puebla! It's a must.

We stopped in for a light lunch, based on a recommendation from the All About Puebla website. We skipped the moles (everywhere in town has moles) and looked for more unusual items since it supposedly has some rarified status. The tostadas de tinga (spiced chicken) were tiny (under 4 inches) but tasty, although at almost 4 bucks apiece they had... More

When you are not exclaiming over the beautifully presented food and the ample drink, don't forget to examine the mural. Ask for information, and they will give you a guide, in Spanish, that identifies all the people in the mural - a fun thing to do between courses.

Location is great just a few blocks from The Cathedral, is a very confortable restaurant, food is very good, try the "Mole Sampler", it will really provide a wide spectrum of flavor.

Food, service and price all great. Nice seating on patio surrounded by building but open roof. We split an order of semitas which was very tasty and the right amount of food. We went during gringo hours so it wasn't crowded, but it probably is crowded during times when Pueblans eat.

This place was recommended by the hotel above some of the closer ones in town. The mural depicts famous Pueblans, hardly any recognizable to non-Mexicans, but very interesting. The five-mole sampler looked enormous, but made a lovely main course for one, even after the nopale salad (very healthful and delicious). And we had escamoles, which were excellently prepared and delicious,... More

Excellent traditional Mexican food in a very nice setting. We were here 5 years ago, loved it then, and it is still excellent.

We had wonderful service and the restaurant was very charming. We sat in a courtyard and it was decorated with colorful wall murals. We tried the mole sampler which had all 5 of the moles they served. The traditional mole and the green mole and peanut were delicious. The other 2 were kind of bland. Also got the chicken enchiladas... More

Ate a business lunch at El Mural, and loved it. Puebla is known for fine cuisine, and El Mural didn't disappoint with rich flavors, and terrific service. The chef sent an "amuse bouche" of white bean soup with chopped nopales. I enjoyed Chanclas, which are small sandwiches drenched in a rich chile salsa-broth, while my buddy ate a Poblano soup...
