This is a nice little spot in the art district. A nice outdoor patio in the shade. Service was slow but the food was really good. Great homemade guacamole and delicious smoked marlin tacos. I would go back.

Caught my attention by the name (My Mom's), food was excellent, chips and salsa was SPICY and delicious. They brought my wife something a little tamer on request :-)

Our last dinner out before moving to Cabo was at Nana Rosas' and the evening was very very good! Margaritas were excellent and the fish tacos were delicious.To start we were the only patrons but a few more folks came in once they saw us there. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something quaint, authentic and relaxing.

We were a group of 4 adults and 4 kids and everyone enjoyed their meals. The shrimp diablo were particularly good. Good margaritas too. Our server was extremely nice too. We will definitely come back.

I stopped to have lunch here. I had shrimp with a garlic sauce and a dessert of fried ice-cream. Everything was delicious and the service was superb.

While in SJD in February we went to Nana Rosa twice and were greatly impressed with the food and patio setting. I can see where service might be sporatic during busy times since staffing seems limited. But they were all so courteous and accomodating with our requests, it just allowed us to enjoy the evening a bit longer. Great food... More

We were in town for a week and one of the local businessmen recommended Nana Rosa's to us. What a great treat that was. There were 3 of us and we each had something different and each a pleasure.
