We were on Isla for only two days but ate at Lola Valentina twice. The food was awesome and my morning coffee was fabulous! Its a don't miss location!
lola valentina's turned out to be one of my favorites - cocoanut french toast was interesting and flavourful, comes with scrambled eggs and chorizo. can't remember what the others had - don't even know for sure, no-one was talking just shoving 'er back. just remember several sighs of "oh my god that was good". attractive presentations, caribbean/mexican fusion, appropriately sized... Food and service excellent from app thru dessert. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer , entrees of chicken tacos and sea bass. For dessert we split the lime pie. Great presentation and tasty.

We ate several meals at Lola's and loved them all. Enjoyed watching the Salsa dancing on Wednesday nights.
The food at Lola's is spot on. The chef-inspired menu is a caribeean inspired and each dish and drink leave you wanting more. This was our favorite place to eat, and I think we ate there for lunch AND dinner most days! All of the margarita's are tasty (I wish I was drinking the pineapple-chipotle one now!) Coconut french toast,... More

As I suspected,,,,,,this place is a hit with me and my friends! She has opened another outstanding restaurant, everyone at my table had enjoyed their dinners! Anyone planning on having dinner here will not be disappointed! (The owner was the previous owner of Mango Cafe on Isla Mujeres).
We ate here twice, both times were fabulous. For Breakfast I had this really unique style of french toast that was not so "eggy". Both times all of the people at the table had great meals.
Heard about this new place on TA and decided we would give it a try. It was a very nice setup and menu was interesting. Our starter was the Gorgonzola dip with roasted red peppers and homemade bread. OMG that was good!! It had a bit of sweet crunch to it and we swallowed that in minutes! Hubby had a... More
