We stopped here and were told that the next day they would have live music, so went back the next day. 5 beers for $7.50! Great quacomole and chips. Hard working staff.
Had a great time here! Its on the marina so u can see the boats come and go! My friend ordered the shrimp aguachile and it was amazing and very very spicy!! I didn't think u could find it other than in the pacific like in mazatlan or Puerto Vallarta so it was an excellent surprise!! My hubs had the... More
The Chuuk Kay was our first restaurant stop on our visit to the Isla Mujeres. It was in very close proximity to our resort (Villa Vera), and so very convenient to walk to. The food was excellent. I ordered the fish tacos - so yummy!! My husband ordered the 'drunken shrimp'...also to die for. The atmosphere was fun, it was... More
Hot sunny day and a golf cart . . . and Chuuk Kay called our name! Buckets of icy cold beer and a huge plate of all dressed nachos (frijoles, cheese, onions, peppers, crema agria, etc.) and great pico de gallo and guac. La Banda Sin Nombre playing Santana and the Eagles . . . ahhhhh! Great times!
After two u-turns on our golf cart, my wife, daughter and i finally arrived at Chuuk Kay for a late lunch. I had wanted to stop by after the good reviews on TA and for the recommendation by Mapchick on her map, but upon arriving, I was a little surprised to see only one other table seated at the spacious... The ceviche is awesome. The atmosphere is perfect. Live music and 2x1's at happy hour... if you can find it. Didn't have any actual meals there but this quickly became a favorite.
We had been to Chuuk Kay on our first visit and were anxious to get back, this time bringing my sisters and brother in law. I ordered the garlic grouper, my brother in law and my boyfriend both ordered the chicken wings , my sisters both ordered two different shrimp and pasta dishes. My sister Denise's meal was her favorite... More
WOW...great food, easy to miss since it's off the main routa but worth finding! Our group of 8 stumbled onto this during a golf cart tour of the island...some of our group visit the island annually and had not discovered this little jewel and we were all very happy with our lunch selections and service.
We went for Happy Hour on a Sunday night which turned into dinner and dancing. The food and wait staff were great...they got right into the fun. Band was amazing and so were the other patrons. Will most definitely go back next trip!
Chuuk Kay was the location of our vow renewals and dinner for our friends. We had garlic grouper and a chicken dish with some type of mexican mushroom that I cannot remember the name of. A special thank you to Javier and Marla for making this an extra special evening for us.
