If your like me, wanting to avoid the tourist traps and try some great local cuisine then El Piqué should be on your list. Suggested by our dive master, we were eager to learn some new Spanish vocabulary by using the menu to order (menu written on the concrete walls). So much fun to try ALL the different types of... I ate here my last night in Coz. The frijoles charros with cheese are the best on the island. I also had the arracherra panqueton which was outstanding. The bread was as good as any I had on the island. 1 beer, 1/2 order beans,& arracherra was 10 bucks USD

My husband and I visited on a recent trip! We both had tacos which were totally amazing! We also had the bean soup which was fabulous! Price for both of us with 1 beer under $20!

This place have amazing tacos el Pastor and Arrachera which melts in your mouth with a burst of flavors.Do try the Fajitas de Arrachera Or Chicken fajitas with a beer called Superior. You will never want to drink corona again in your life.Service is in spanish though some know very little english and money is paid in pesos.

We ate at El Pique a few times during our week in Cozumel. It was quite tasty and we would recommend this to you if you are looking for good authentic tacos!

The pastor and tacos gringas are excellent. Fed 6 of us including tip and drinks for $8 a head and we were stuffed. The back patio is quieter and set up more for groups. You need to know a little Spanish to order but again this is a local place with a mix of locals and tourists even at night.

Great tacos at a low price. The setting is not what you would call intimate, and it can be rather noisy. We went twice on our trip to Cozumel. No meu's, it is posted on the wall.

Locals restaurant. Good and cheap. Has a variety of tacos, including lengua barbacoa ojo and other good bits. I think this may be the only place that has the odd bits. The tacos al pastor were quite good.

Local flavor and great value. They are very accommodating to those whose Spanish isn't up to par yet, though don't speak English themselves. If they're not open, try the taco shop that's down a few shops. Both are fantastic!

I found this restaurant on the last night of my trip. I only wish i had found it sooner! The tacos were excellent as well as the service. Great location to be around locals. I will be back.
