Probably the best fine dining option in Cancun... This small but exquisite restaurant proposes a short but succulent menu. We tasted the tarte tatin de foie gras and then the lamb rack and the salmon with goat cheese. All was perfect !! The wine suggested by Sonya was a very nice Pinot Noir from Chile which combined very well with...

This is the second time we ate at Du Mexique. Briefly speaking, if you are looking for a venue to celebrate a special occasion, I would definitely prefer Du Mexique to any fancy Hotel Zone restaurant. The service here is very personal, the experience is very authentic, the food ranges from good to great, and, all things considered, the place...

On Avenida Bonampak. Do make reservations, for Armand works sometimes by himself. He makes his own pate's. Great duck. Terrific salads!
A warm, cosy atmosphere. Hosts that are attentive and warm The food was fabulous. Rillettes as an amuse gueule followed by an extraordinary Cheese souffle ( coquille st jacques and escargots for my friends) and an exquisite rack of lamb (tournedos bordelaise). There was also fish on the menu that sounded delicious.
A memorable meal. Highly recommended for people who...

Four of us went for dinner at Du Mexique. We were greeted personally by Alain, the chef, and his lovely wife. He took us through the menu and made recommendations. The wine list was comprehensive. They brought us a delicious complimentary pate for an hors d'oeuvre. I had the garlic cappuccino, which was delicious. My wife had a mushroom appetizer,...

We've been coming to Cancun for 20 years and have seen the dining options improving. This place has been here for 5 years and no one has mentioned it to us, even when we have requested fine dining and are not afraid to spend a bit more for really good food.
There are about 8 tables in the place. Service...

Chef Alain and his wife Sonya were wonderful and welcoming, and the food was excellent. The menu was a charming mix of french and spanish, but chef was happy to translate if you needed it. The food was simple and classic in preparation but highlighted many local ingredients. The wine list is small, but very well selected and reasonably priced....

Can't stress enough how excellent this restaurant is. This is the best meal I've ever had under $100. It's like a Michelin 2-star.
Alain and Sonia are your hosts and while in their care you will experience a meal equal to any 4 star restaurant in North America!
