My wife and I have been coming to Cancun for 26 years and have eaten in a lot of resturants. This is one of the very best in Cancun. It has been open for 6 years but we just heard about it. It is not on a beach so no beautiful view to interfer with the superb food (although there... More

The food was simply amazing! The service is above and beyond. When you walk into the restaurant you are greeted by the kindest, most hostess you would ever meet in your life and that is Mrs. Grimond. The Chef came out of our table and explained the menu in English. Recommended items base on what he thinks is the best... More

If you are in the Cancun area, go to this restaurant. The French food is amazingly prepared and tastes incredible. More importantly, the 7 table dining room is served by a husband and wife duo that will make you feel like you're in your own home. Can't say enough great things about the restaurant. The only detractor is that the... More

The best overall meal I had whilst in Cancun but not the cheapest option in town – with the tip it was 1650 pesos. It’s Downtown on Av Bonampak just as you cross over from the hotel zone. It’s French and run by a husband and wife team – he is the chef and she is front of house. There... More

This was by far the best dinner my boyfriend and I have ever had. Our entrees were absolutely delicious, and the dessert was to die for: Strawberries with vodka, mint, and fresh pepper. We both had to stop ourselves from licking the plates! Not only was the food and the ambiance stellar, but I felt like the Chef and his... More

This is a highly unusual experience—a gourmet French restaurant in downtown Cancun. We made reservations through our hotel. We were able to walk from a bus stop which is also near “Superama.” The restaurant is hard to find and were glad we had checked its location a day earlier. But it is worth the exploration and ten minute walk from... More

I don't know why it took so long. Been coming to Cancun for 15 years but never heard of duMexique until this past winter. What a loss on our part. A small but very eclectic and aesthetically pleasing surrounding, this restaurant is personally attended by Chef Alain and the beautiful Sonya. The dishes are classic French, time tested but at...
