I went back to Paxia and it is getting better and better. I had the "Menu desgutacion", and it was simply extraordinary. Every dish was a surprise and a pleasure. I especially liked the bone marrow, the "pavo with mole" (which includes an awesome surprise which was one of the strangest culinary experiences), and the "sorullo" dessert. Really unique, original... More

We decided to go to this restaurant even though we new that the size of the meals where tiny, but when we where there we realized that the portions are ridiculously tiny, and super expensive. The fish taco entree was really good but it was the size of half a taco!!! Ok, we thought maybe because its the entree. When... More

I visited Paxia last weekend and it was such a great surprise... food was exotic but delicious and service was excellent! The wine list is huge but the sommelier will help you in a nice way... The tasting menu lasts around 3 hours but you will enjoy every single plate!

Not all dishes are equally successful - a partridge with rasberry coulis was too dry and the raspberry too overpowering. But there is a big fun element in the dishes which somewhat compensates, and quite a bit of theather in the presentation of many dishes - like the mole coming with a jumil walking over it (if you don't know... It's a nice place but our service wasn't good. It was really expensive. My family and friends food was served after an hour. They don't serve you enough food on your plate. After the experience we won't be coming back.

The chef here has a taste for theater, so relax and enjoy. At some point, if you take the tasting menu, you'll see a chumil (stink bug) happily walking on your meat, unaware that it's supposed to be soon eaten by you...(it tastes of green apple and cinnamon, the dish is also available a la carte). But the important thing... More

There is a very lively nightlife scene on Av. de la Paz, across the blvd. from the famous and popular San Angel area. Our experience was similar to Alexander D. The place had been written up well, so we just walked in at 7:00 PM, and it was empty. That and the seriously high prices (at the level of the... More

Great atmosphere and very good nouvelle cuisine dishes and great wine cellar. Try to make a reservation because it is always almost full.

Was in the area and walked in. Place had nice decor but was empty. We sat down and saw the menu. Prices were very high and I thought both Judy and I had made a mistake. But anyway, we ordered and we were really surprised by the quality of the food, innovative cuisine and excellent taste. This is a cuisine... More

I highly recommend to take the "Menu Degustacion", which offers an interminable series of reinvented and rearranged mexican dishes. it will give you a full panorama of the variety Mexican cuisine has to offer. Just let yourself be guided and mesmerized. Besides, the staff knows its game, just like in Michelin-starred restaurants, yet very friendly and discreet, able to explain... More
