While the food here is pretty good, it's one of those places in Mexico City which is where one goes to be seen. Having said that, they have killer duck tacos (tacos de pato) and pretty decent breakfast/ lunch selection. You always need to make a reservation before heading there as it's often fully booked. Good place for a slightly... More

Surprised at this restaurants high ratings. Menu is interesting, had several items, but the best was duck tacos. The green cilantro salsa served with fresh cheese was a winner as well. The service people were disinterested, the service a bit slow, the decor uninspired and the value for food, not there. Do go, just don't expect one of Mexico's best... More

This is one of the top breakfast lunch restaurants in MC and I can see why. Just delicious food, I had scrambled eggs in a green salsa, with good service surprisingly in the Hilton Reforma.

What can I say that hasnt been said before? Besides make sure you pop this place on your itinerary. Great authentic Mexican food. Service was unbelievable, if you are fortunate to get the loveliest multi lingual (wish I could remember his name!!) waiter. He helped us navigate the menue, encouraging us to try the ants eggs (delicious by the way)... More

I am not a big fan of Mexican food but I have to say what we had at El Cardinal was nice. The waiting staff was friendly and the food was served promptly. There was a line (even at almost 4pm) but the wait was short. We were seated on the ground floor where the decor was basic.

This place has the best breakfast in town ask for hot champurrado (Mexican hot chocolate) sweet bread and spacey eggs, you won't forge it.

The outside of the restaurant has more charm than the inside, especially if you compare it to Cafe Tacuba or Sanborns at La Casa de los Azulejos. The food is between average and good. It's a little pricey for the amount you get, though. The chocolate and tres leches cakes are very disappointing.

Pretty much everything you can order here is good. At least from my experience, after visiting ore than 10 times, ive never found anything I didnt like. It has several "restaurants" under the same name, and all are good, but for the ambience, the best is by far the one in Palma street, close to the Zocalo in downtown Mexico... More
