Suffering from extreme jet-lag and a touch of altitude, we set off for Osteria 8 without any great expectations. If nothing else, we hoped the long drive through heavy traffic might help us sleep. On arrival, we were initially informed that there was no chance of a table without a reservation. However, our palpable dejection persuaded the owner's wife to... More

My mom bought 6 pizzas from Osteria 8 last Saturday for a family gathering. Next day, all of my family was VERY SICK. I had severe vomit and diarrhea for 3 days, and have been trying to recover, as well as my mom, sister and boyfriend. I dont wish this for anyone. it was awful. I had written a previous... More

I'm a bit puzzled why this place is rated so high on the restaurants' list of Mexico City. The food (pastas and pizzas) is OK, but certainly nothing to rave about. Outdoor seating is a bit uncomfortable (really on the sidewalk and close to the street). Inside there is only room for a few small tables. And the service is... More

The place is very, very simple and small and cannot accommodate more than 18 people. It looks like a modest cafe or bar but the few plates they offer are surprisingly good. Pasta is home made and delicious. Pizzas are great too. Even the few wines available is compared to fencier places. Price is low by any standards.

This is one of the bests restaurants in Mexico City. A charming location, with a few tables inside and even more outside. The staff was delightful...the chefs, the server,etc...all were so personable and kind. Dinner was superb! We had the pasta with pesto and also the mozzarella salad (great balsamic syrup dressing!). Perfecto! Home made pasta, light sauce...the meal was... More

The other reviews say it - Osteria 8 is fabulous. We've eaten there several times - the homemade pastas are delicious and the pizzas are truly some of the best I've had here in Mexico City. It's about 7-10 minutes walking from the Sevilla metro stop and from Parque España in Condesa. It´s only drawback - and it shouldn't stop... More

Thank you for the nice comments on the food, we do dedicate ourselves to high quality. I do agree with you; it can get pretty cold on the patio. I think you will be happy to hear that last monday we installed a fixed celling heating system in the patio to solve that problem. As for the street view......well there... More

My wife, daughter and I have been living in Mexico City for 3 years and trying to find decent pizzas (we are from Sao Paulo). Look no further: Osteria 8 got it. Although the looks are not the "forte" the food is fantastic. Easily beats most restaurants located in the expensive Polanco neighborhood. The owner/chef is son of italians and... More

The Shrimp Pizza is fantastic. I had Pizza in Milano, Italy and this tastes exactly like that. All the ingredients are home grown from the moutains. The Price is the best thing. Average entree is around 115 Pesos..

My husband and I were in Mexico City recently for 8 days and decided to try this restaurant based on trip advisor's reviews. We found it to be a fantastic restaurant and ended up eating there most days. It is small and cozy with chef owner Stephen and his wife Patty so friendly and always there to greet their guests.... OSTERIA 8 is my home away from home! I live a few blocks away and I eat here 3 to 4 times a week or I just stop by to socialize with my friends Stephen and Patty who own this small slice of heaven here on the edge of Roma and Condesa. The atmosphere is down to earth yet has... More
