Agree with the preceeding posts. Located in a somewhat obscure neighborhood, you have to wonder where the mostly well-dressed and well-heeled clients come from in the middle of the day? We were lucky to get a table on a Monday afternoon without a reservation, it was bustling. The room is very simple, but comfortable, and you immediately get the sense... More

One of the best examples of traditional Mexican food. Hidden in a central but not to popular neighborhood lies Nico`s, a small and simple restaurant which hides one of the best selection of traditional recipes in town. Great staff and friendly service guide you to one of the most memorable eating experiences. Great Mezcal and Mexican wine selection to pair... More

Fantastic food, cooked in very traditional manner and served by friendly and attentive staff. A great value and a fantastic meal in central Mexico City.

Also, Nico's embraces the slow food movement. And to top it off, Nico's has been a longstanding purveyor of... More

As a local let me tell you that this restaurant is one of the less know gems in the city. The location is pretty central but there isn´t many things to do arround. They just did a renovation but I didn´t like it very much. Now to the good stuff, the food. I recomend going for breakfast (sundays are closed)... More

We visit this restaurant every time we are in Mexico City (one or twice a year). They have exceptional service (particularly compared to American standards). They hot chocolate and bread are tasty but if you want a fun little show order a lechero. The lechero is a coffee with milk, they pour coffee in a cup and then top it... More
