One of the best restaurants in the city with 2 caveats: do not serve alcohol as it is within the Nationa University's grounds and do not take credit cards. Better try Azul Condesa the upscale branch that has the same food with wine and beer and credit cards, twice as expensive though...

Very nice, not too expensive, great food. The turkey was slow vacuum cooked leaving it red, but I was assured it was OK ...

I began visiting this restaurant a few years ago when I used to have breakfast and in that time it was not bad but nothing excellent either, just good. We came back a year ago and things were a bit different, we ordered coffee and hot cocoa from Oaxaca, the coffee was a bit cold and not very good, the... More

This time around I visited El Azul, the more upscale "branch" of Azul y Oro in Colonia Condesa. Although a reputable place with excellent Mexican food at affordable prices, this restaurant lacks the excellence expected of the establishment of a famous Mexican chef. The choice of "fresh" greens for a do-it-yourself salad is poor and unattractive, and the kitchen-assembled salads... More

Had breakfast there yesterday with two frienda. The food was terrible the eggs arrived cold and insipid. The sweet rolls had seen better days, probably more than a week. The first cup of coffee was good the refills were awful. Frankly I don´t understand why the place is so famous. A much better place is right in front of it... More

Azul y Oro is easily the best bargain in all of Mexico. Top end traditional mexican cuisine by his chef majesty, Ricardo Muñoz Zurita. Anyway, the restaurant is located in the CCU of UNAM -my alma mater, so beautiful. Take the subway to CU and the jump on the free UNAM shuttle (Line 3) tell the driver to drop you... More

This restaurant is located in the south end of the UNAM campus, in the Cultural Center complex. It features high-quality Mexican (Oaxacan) and international food that is elegantly presented. The prices are very reasonable: the most expensive item on the menu is salmon and it is only 100 pesos. You can find a wide range of items on the menu,... More
