I was very excited to take the cooking class based on the TA reviews. But the class should have been described as "instructive" not participatory. Miriam (the chef/owner) was scattered and not very excited to be where she was...Not sure if it was just a bad day...but for the price, less than 3 hours, not getting my hands "wet"....Unfortunately, can't... Ieeew, I would like to start by apologizing for what appears to have been a bad experience for you at La Luna. As an avid traveler myself, I realize how frustrating it can be spending your time and money on something you didn't enjoy. And as the Chef/instructor, customer and student satisfaction is very important to me and my staff. During my visit to Puerto Vallarta, I participated in two of Chef Miriam's hands-on cooking classes at La Luna and thoroughly enjoyed both of them! Sprinkled with stories of her Mexican heritage and showing her gentle humour, she generously shared her skills and knowledge with us. The classes with Miriam, a Courdon Bleu certified chef, was definitely worth the time... More

My sister, mom & I took a cooking class - we had the chance to make a flour tortilla, tour a bakery, finish a sweet bread & then watch 4 dishes be prepared. I learned several tips, enjoyed a glass of wine & tasted unbelievable food. I was disappointed in not being able to be more hands-on as it was... More

If you enjoy excellent food and you have a discerning palate, this is the place for you, been to PV 12 times, have eaten here more than once and have to say this is the best restaurant in town. The service and food is fantastic. Would recommend the pork or the shrimp. The desserts are also fabulous. Great wines at... More

Wonderful food! Four of us ate there last night. It was a pleasure to eat traditional Mexican food with a flair. All prepared by the chef Miriam, who was trained at France 's Cordon Bleu school and the food she prepared spoke of her vast experience as a chef. Chef uses the freshest ingredients available including the chocolate from Europe... More

Miriam's cooking class is a must do when you're in PV. I went with my partner and his parents to celebrate birthdays and we all had a great time! The recipes we learned are now regular options for our daily cooking and were all amazing! Miriam and her staff are great people and make the experience fun and worth the... More

LaLuna cooking class was a fun enjoyable time. We started the late afternoon in the bakery watching how to make bread and a flour tortilla. We were a little hands on in rolling our own dough for a tortilla and putting the finishing touches on Mexican Concha bread. That is where the hands on ended. The remainder of the class... More

I had never taken a cooking class prior to this one. I am a 25 year old bachelor with little to know cooking experience aside from using a George Forman. Needless to say, I learned so much and had a blast at Miriam’s cooking class. If you are a lone traveler or even with family or friends, this is a... More

Six of us dinned at La Luna and enjoyed the great service, the tasty food and warm atmosphere. As 4 of us live here in Puerto we look forward to dinning often. Not only was the food excellent the prices were reasonable even by PV standards. Especially recommend the Pork and the Cesar Salad.
