The location is perfect, Puerto Vallarta downtown, the magnificent view and the best: a traditional Mexican breakfast with one of the best Cafe de Olla (coffe made with sugar in the raw, cinnamon and a touch of orange) then the traditional Mexican pastries and danishes, my favourite is the roll stuffed with cream cheese and covered with sugar, a temptation... We visited Mi Querencia on a Sunday around noon. Many locals were enjoying breakfast menu items; all looked very good. We opted for lunch with good margaritas. We've had the freshmade guacamole here previously and it was excellent. My wife and I had sshrimp dishes while my m-i-l opted for a hamburger. We all were most happy with our meals.... More

Went here specifically for the Mexican coffee and it didn't disappoint. It was delicious! It is really sweet though. The breakfast was good but I wasn't blown away. It started with sweet rolls. I shared a meal with my husband .. A Mexican omelette. The chorizo was just four pieces on top of the omelette and there was a small... More

When I'm in PV, Mi Querencia is the only place I now go for breakfast. First of all, the breakfast is fantastic. They've raised their prices since 2011, but it's still a great value especially when you factor in their bottomless free coffee. And my suggestion, get their Mexican coffee that is brewed with brown sugar and cinnamon sticks. It's... More

We have been going to Puerto Vallarta for over ten years. We found this place a few years ago and honestly the first year we ate there 3 times, it was that delicious! Now it is a definite must go everytime year. Starting with the greeting from the staff, you are welcomed as you are into most homes with warmth... More

Located on the Malecon which is why many visit. The food is nothing to write home about nor do I recommend!

I have to recommend this wonderful place. My husband and I discovered it on our first trip to PV and with each consecutive trip we have made a point of eating here. Specifically the shrimp tacos (appy) which is enough for me. And the margaritas, which are delicious. My husband's favourite place for happy hour. The surroundings are great, lovely... More

Looking for something other than our usual favorites (Trio, Vitea, La Palapa), we parked in Viejo Vallarta and went walking down the sparkling new malecon. Just off Calle Mina, found Mi Querencia, one of the few places that doesn't have a noisy, happy crowd of tequila-laced tourists hanging off a second-floor balcony. Our place for dinner. Good choice. We shared... More

Mi Querencia is located on the malecon near the seahorse statue. My husband, daughter and I had a perfect table with a view of the ocean at sunset. The view and hospitality could not have been better. Our waiter offered suggestions, and all three of us chose different meals which we enjoyed very much. We sampled mahi mahi, fahitas and... More

Great staff with Mario and the gang. I have read some reviews and they were not good. This must have been an off day for the staff , like any restaurant can have. For example, we have been to pipi's and found it sucked! Busy! Doesn't always mean good, but in fairness we will try it again! So I encourage... More
