Dinner with friends--a concert was going at the Opera house and they were simulcasting in the Plaza..great for people watching..most had the steak special but I opted for fajita carne and was not disappointed. I have some food allergies and they prepared the sauce without any problems. The wait staff is wonderful and very accommodating -- Did I mention that... More

At the Plaza Machado or the Marina .. either location will provide a great meal at a more than fair price. I have always felt that the waiters go out of their way to try to provide excellent service at both locations. Never had a bad meal there (and have been there several times). It would qualify as a romantic... More

Loved how accommodating the staff was. Food is excellent! Our young grandchildren wanted pizza, which isn't offered at this restaurant. NO PROBLEM. We were seated and a waiter went to the Italian restaurant next door to retrieve a menu. That wouldn't happen in the states. Kids ordered pizza, while we enjoyed our Mexican fare. The shrimp hamburger here is worth... More

We had dinner before a show at the opera house. The service was good. The food was average. I had arrachera and it was tender and flavored well. The potions were on the small side. All an all a pleasant experience.

We were referred to this restaurant by the owners of the B&B that we stayed at. It is located on the Plaza, with great people watching and a wonderful wait staff, but we found the food to be very so-so. I love to cook, I guess it is my passion so I have high standards, but this one did not... More

For lunch or diner, this restaurants staff is the friendliest and food is great at a great price, too. They have 2 locations, one at Marina Mazatlan (Costa Veleros) and another at Plazuela Machado. Machado's spot is always the busiest, if you are looking for a quiet afternoon go to the one at Marina Mazatlan, the view is amazing.

Vibrant place we always return to. Try the spinach crepe! Outstanding. Atmosphere in side and out is wonderful. Central Historical area around the Merchado is very safe for walking at night.

The wife and I are early risers and like to walk downtown and watch el centro come to life, one of the first places to open is La Tramoya. Armondo is the first waiter there and even when we are a "little" early is more than happy to take an order for a drink or two. When we go back... More
