I have eaten at Los Zarapes many times. I never travel to Mazatlan without several stops there. Luis padilla manager of Los Zarapes is quite the magician and gracious host. He is always happy to entertain if you ask. The food hear is excellant, the sevice very good, and some of the drinks quite flambuoyant ! In fact I have... More

We went to Las Zarapes April 21st Brenster was playing that night. I was very impressed by the fresh salsa made to order at your table. I also had fresh guacamole and 1/2 rack of ribs which was plenty! The food was delicious and inexpensive. Brenster is always good entertainment and I danced to many songs. If you ever get... More

We always go on Sat. night and the first time we went, they had lost our reservation. Turned in to a fiasco with both bad service & cold food. The next time, all went great and that has usually been our experience there. We love to hear the Country Western singer known as the Brenster--he always puts on a fantastice... More

They make the salsa fresh at your table. It's the best I think I've ever had! It's an interesting place. There's a young girl who will sing and then pass around a hat expecting a tip.

We met some people from Guadalajara (one previously lived in Mazatlan) and they told us we had to try this restaurant. The first impression was the festive atmosphere: bright colors, live music... Then the waiter came over and made us fresh salsa to our taste, right at the table...guacamole is made at the table as well. Our dinners were delicious,... More

Los Zarapes is situated up high off the street. It looks like you are walking up the side of a canyon wall. The restuarant is very clean and tastefully decorated. (Ladies, the bathrooms were exceptionally well taken care of, too.) The waiters all spoke very good English and were helpful in recommending what to order. They will bring out their... More

We had the proprieter actually make salsa for us at the table. He was extremely friendly and forthcoming. The food was delicious. I loved the decor - really fun and interesting. Live music included a young girl who was selling her new CD later on, plus a couple of guys on horn and guitar. Music was good AND it didn't... More
