This food is very different from what I am used to eating but it is really good. I had deer machaca with eggs; the eggs where tiny (quail) I believe, and it was GREAT!!

El Nido's decor doesn't fit its name (the nest). Anyway, it is a very good restaurant decorated with left over lumber & metal from an old mining camp somewhere near or far--couldn't tell. Its food was quite good, I had a very fine piece of beef cooked the way I ordered. I'd go back.
Best Steaks, Best Breakfast.. eat out side back, open air nothing better. Price 10-20 pre person. stop and look around at all the old mining equipment.
I don,t eat much meat but when I do want a steak I want a good one. In Mexico El Nido is one of the places to get a great steak dinner. I have been in both in Rosarito as well as there other resturant in Loretto Mexico.
Has dinner here last week for first time in 10+ years, pretty much just as I remember it. Love the decor/ambiance, smell of mesquite, great menu with something for everyone, attentive and friendly service.
Didn't have steak as usual this time, felt like seafood -broiled sea bass, shrimp in garlic butter; meals come with soup & salad, chips/salsa - everything...

Our whole group had fantastic meals. Great service plus we were treated to a tour of their lovely place. We met the owner and talked about his various farms that grow and/or raise most of what is served there. Highly recommended. Mostly organic and cooked over open fires.
El Nido is a must visit if you are coming to Rosarito. The rustic decor, the little birds flying around, the open pit ovens, wine cellar....it is a great place to be. The food is good solid Mexican food without a lot of flair but it is hard to beat the value. Bring the whole family.
The food is regional Mexican style with several game meets their special is Venison and Rock Cornish hen. Several of their plates come with baked potato in the wood fired oven. You can see the cook grilling the meets to your liking. Chips and salsa appetizers included. The very close to the Hotels. Very nice decoration, with several fireplaces, so...

This restaurant is quite a drive from Tijuana and some people might consider the 45 minute drive to be a challenge in the current environment. I'm glad to say apart from one checkpoint that our drive there was uneventful with the exception of some fantastic views of the Baja coastline. We arrived early at the restaurant which is brightly lit...
