Handmade ice cream is the norm in La Paz in the Malecon. If you are in the mood for Gelatto the only place to go is Giulietta y Romeo. They just moved in to a space next to the bike and skate rental shop. To find it, just follow the wheeled objects.

We searched for this place in vain at the address given in the guides. It had just moved and we found it eventually about 100m away. Friendly owner, good selection of great ice creams just across the road from the beach. Buy yours and sit on a bench on the Malecon watching the sun set.

If you're in La Paz and jonesing some really good ice-cream (acutally it's gelato - Italian ice-cream) then you definitely have to make a pit-stop at this ice-cream parlor. Not only is the ice-cream incredibly good but they also serve up some some seriously delicious coffees and homemade pastries/cakes. So stop by...relax and enjoy some good coffee, desserts and obviously...

Wonderful place to stay and to tast the real italian ice cream. You can stay seated in the "Callejon" and refresh yourself with the see breeze and a very special ice cream.
