I don't eat much beef but I will eat theirs. Good margaritas too! And the portion size is muy grande.

Great Mexican food. We stayed across the street at Leo's Baja Oasis for 5 days and ate at this restaurant a lot. Service and food was all excellent. Everything we tried was very good. Had the garlic shrimp one night and it was excellent. Mostly locals in the restaurant and that says it all.
I had lunch at Los Magueyes and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and the staff friendly. The restaurant decor is authentic Mexican style. There are photos on the wall with famous Mexican artists. If I return to La Paz I would definitely dine there again.
I always have people ask me "Where can they get some good Mexican Food" Funny but really I didn't know...everything is sushi, chinese, italian, seafood, burgers etc....
And then i had the privilege of dining in this Real Mexican Restaurant! Absolutely delightful...every dish robust and authentic and delicious...

Los Magueyes offers an excellent selection of traditional Mexican dishes that are always consistently good. Service is friendly and usually prompt--except when tour buses from Cabo San Lucas are there. Both locals and tourists will find this an excellent choice. It is several blocks away from the Malecon and the center of town, but worth the trip.
expensive, very good food, service, and ambience; a comfortable place to relax for a good meal

Mayguez is a bit off the beaten path for tourists, but so are many of the La Paz restaurants reviewed on Trip Advisor. But, Mayguez is often busy with Ex-Pat's from around the world, as well as a large number of locals. And for good reason: Good food. Our perspective is different because we're fortunate enough to make our home...
