“life saving cold beer!”

Cool Corner is just that. We found our way there during a walking tour of Statia. The beer was cold, the prices were right and the atmosphere was second to none. “Cool Corner, still great after all these years.”

Just returned to Statia after two years. Stopped at Cool Corner for dinner and had to try the curried beef and rice. I asked for and got extra spicy and it was just that.

This place doubles as a Chinese restaurant and is dead smack in the middle of the town. It seems especially popular with expatriates who work on the island. This is right in town, no view at all, and is enclosed, totally. Huge bar. Place where everyone hangs out, I think. Be hungry, as what we had, the two of us could easily have served 4.
