Thoroughly enjoy the atmosphere and the friendly welcome. The menu has choices to suit all tastes. The staff are happy to meet all dietary requirements. And the meals are always well presented and of the highest quality. Would recommend this pub to anyone. Will certainly return. Visited on many occasions.

Ate here twice, both times the food was very good indeed. Menu was pretty comprehensive, with meat and fish well represented, and specials each day. The menu is biased towards locally produced items and everything I ordered was cooked very well. Fon the broccoli and Stilton soup and fresh hot hoe made bread roll. Porterhouse Steak and cheese board with 2 pints of local beer only £26. Friendly locals.

Myself, hubby and two other couples arrived at Meikleour on a Sunday evening at 8.30pm in the hope of getting something to eat. We were told in no uncertain terms that the restaurant was closed and they stopped serving food at 8pm. Went here early evening with our 3 & 7yr olds. Tuesday night so we were expecting it to be quiet - wrong! Apparently every Tuesday they do a special deal where you can flip a coin - if you call the coin right you get your meal for free! This only applies to a limited menu but what a nice...
