Good, hearty breakfast served by a very pleasant waitress and attentive owner. Glady's is down an alley in what appears to be an old port warehouse that is oozing with history. Large portions, reasonable prices. I had the French toast and it was more than I could eat.

We went due to the reviews and were not disappointed. Breakfast does not offer as much "local" flavor but breakfast standards were done perfectly at island reasonable prices. Our waitress was charming and sweet. Bacon was crisp and perfect, skillet potatoes fantastic. The fact that it is in an old pumphouse is even more charming.

We really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. We went here specifically so I could try Conch Fritters before I left. Got to try them, and have to say, not a conch fan, but our jerk chicken sandwiches were delicious, as were the fries. And their Soursap (native fruit) iced drink is to DIE for. If you go, you HAVE... Gladys isn't the owner, Pauline is, and the food is quickly served, with a local flavor. I like the welcoming atmosphere, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is wonderful. Fun things to buy, too, like hot sauce, for instance. Great place to eat!

Glady's cafe is a great spot to try authentic local food - and with plenty of other options if you aren't feeling adventurous. Gladys has been in business a very long time (I'm a 20 plus year resident), and she always delivers good food at reasonable (for here) prices. the ambience is nice, and the location convenient if you're downtown.... I had the Avacado stuffed with lobster salad for $21.95. It was good but very expensive and I bit down on something crunchy. I couldn't identify it. Pretty sure it didn't belong in the food.

On a busy cruise ship day you will be lucky to get a seat! Family owned and run, you'll likely hear Gladys herself belting out a show tune or popular song as she works in the kitchen or serving up her island favorites. Locals and visitors enjoy everything from cheeseburgers to conch and my favorite, chicken Roti. This could be... More
