This place is presented as a local authentic type spot, but it isnt really. Its good as an alternative to hotel or resort food, but its definitely not authentic. Service was good, prices were high for a "local" spot ($18-$25 for most things), and it happens to be located in the primetime cruise ship shopping district, so its quite busy.... More

We went to Gladys' twice on our recent trip- for breakfast and lunch on separate days. We each had omelette's for breakfast, and for lunch, the jerk sandwich and chicken roti. Everything was wonderful and fresh. They had good drink specials and our meals arrived quickly. The service was some of the best I have experienced in any restaurant- very... More

This is the place on St. Thomas for authentic island cuisine and to buy hot sauces. We had the goat curry and whole pan fried fish. They were both excellent! The food is made even better by the use of Gladys home made hot sauces which are available for purchase on the premises. I recommend Gladys' Cafe especially for cruisers... More

This place was amazing. The service was fantastic. Great atmosphere hidden in the Royal Dane Mall Alleyway. Glad we found it and have it a try. Authentic local food and several homemade hit sauces. I would highly recommend this place. They are also open for breakfast.

After reading the reviews on trip advisor my wife and I made a point of eating lunch at glady's. I had curried chicken while my wife selected a roti dish. Both were large size portions and exceeded our highest expectations.. Definitely worth a visit. We will return on our next trip

This restaurant was recommended by one of the local shop owners and we were not disappointed! It's off the main street down an alley. I had the curry chicken - the best I've ever had! It was perfectly seasoned and tender and very good. Try the mango colada - very refreshing and tasty. Plantains and the local sweet potato (which... More

Fantastic local food. My daughter had a whole fish, I had fried grouper with rice and beans and "provisions", we all tried the local food and enjoyed it thoroughly. It was pouring rain, so we got a t-shirt for each of us to change into, and the waitress just led me into another dining room, adjoining the kitchen, with no... More

We were there for lunch. It was clean, friendly and the food was American/Local fair. They had everything from Blackened Chicken Sandwich and Grilled Mahi Mahi to the local Bull Hoof Soup and BBQ Goat on the menu. It runs from the adventurous to the regular burger and fries. I tried the Kallaloo soup...it was very good. It was a... More
