I hate it when people get confused between George-X doubles which is located in Coco Lounge car park from Tuesday to Saturday......and George Doubles in front of Brooklyn Bar from Sunday to Sunday.........George Doubles is tasteless & horrid compared to George-X........Simple & Plain.........^_^

George has been selling doubles outside the Brooklyn Bar for many years. Doubles is like a sandwich made with a fried chickpea paste called bara and filled with curried chickpeas and topped with a variety of chutneys. Very ecomical and tasty!

Well what can you say about the best Doubles, a very local fast food.

A unique food, almost like a bean burrito (although better than any bean burrito that I have ever eaten). Optional three sauces. None of the locals were ordering the pepper sauce and neither did we. The tamarind sauce gives the double a pleasant taste.

Doubles are sandwiches of curried chick peas between two fried fritters of split pea flour. Sauces include sweet sauce, chutney and chadon beni suace ( reminiscent of coriander). This is breakfast in Trinidad and what a breakfast it is. Cheap and very filling, but super delicious! George X is one of the best doubles stands
