My husband and I recently had dinner at Taikun (second time dining there). It truly is a wonderful experience. The sushi is everything that one would expect -- wonderful morsels of flavour that melt in your mouth. We eat sushi multiple times a week and it is probably the favorite food in our household. The level at Taikun was at... More

When you first walk into the Ritz you are immediately treated to probably the best service in the world. The restaurant decor is beautiful and chic. The wait staff was incredible and the sushi was so good we went back twice!

If you are a big fan of sushi...this is the restaurant that you want to dine in! Service was incredible, Stephen was very attentive and the best knowledgeable server in Taikun. Chef Wayan's special was outstanding! Especially if you like a new flavor with spice in your rolls, he is the master. Cozy and inviting atmosphere. We have been here... More

We had the Tuesday night Omakase dinner, which knocked the cost down by quite a bit. It made the prices slightly less painful! The food was pretty good even by New York standard. Fish was very fresh. Freshly grated wasabi was very good. However something is not quite right about the rice in the roll. Maybe it is hard to... More

I just love the freshness of the seafood here and the wasabi! It is just another element that brings the flavor to your mouth. A must try spot!

While at the beach we always seek out sushi because we know we will havet he freshest of fresh fish. The prices are reasonable comparred to anyplace upscale in the Caymans and they had a great selection! Anyone from the Novice eater to the expert will be sure to find delights! Great wine selection and there is a bar across... More

We were in the mood for sushi and ended up at Taikun and are glad we did. The service was amazing!!! I know that has a lot to do with it being on the Ritz property, but it was exceptional, from the minute you walk in the door. The sushi couldn't have been better and the recommendations were great. Great... More

There was a serious plumbing issue in the Ritz and it was noticeable. Entire lobby area smelled like a faulty raw sewage trap and their efforts to cover and conceal those aromas with thick aerosols. There was no escape, Taikun area was closed for renos, and guests were crammed into the opposite lobby bar area. Fussy and awkward service made... More

Great tasting food, good wine selection, and great service. Tasting menu is a bargain with all the food they bring. Restaurant is a bit on the small side.
