this restaurant is an entire experience itself. as soon as we entered, it was like we transported to another place in time, it didn't seem like a little restaunrant in the middle of old san juan. very parisian, chic, and decorated with such nice touches like fresh flower bouquets and mismatched china dishes and cups. the oweners were very friendly... erfect little place to come to in PR if you're vegetarian. Prices are a bit high, however, according to management, products are sourced from small local farmers. The place itself is charming and spotless and quirky but not too much so. It's just right. The owner, Loyda, is a caring and upbeat person who wants nothing more than having happy... More

Spectacular food and cocktails on a cute street away from the crowds. The food was fresh and delicious and the atmosphere was cozy and intimate. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to San Juan. Everything from appetizer to dessert was delicious. Service was attentive, but not overly so.

If I was a local, this place would be on the top of my list (it was recommended by MANY locals). It's fancy, with a carefully compiled menu with local ingredients, great decor, quaint atmosphere, friendly service. For the price, I was hoping for more as far as quantity, but the quality made up for it! The place was cute... More

Great flavors in exotic foods and tropical healthy drinks and teas. Exquisite foods such as the Atoon, Tuna fillet seared over greens, for appetizer, the bruschetta With olive tapenade and mango chutney, the white albacore tuna and cheese sandwich is great also! The coconut creme brûlée and the yogurt with figs filled with walnuts and almonds delicious!

Verde Mesa is located in a very pretty area of Old San Juan. Our wonderful server recommended tasty sandwiches that were easily made vegan and the lemon, cucumber, basil juice infusion was to die for! It was the coolest place we ate at.

I have gone back to Verde Mesa and it keeps getting better. Although a mainly vegetarian restaurant, it serves very good fish. I have tried their cebiche, tuna tartare, salmon and trout dishes and they are really good, excellent quality, a very careful selection (no farmed fish here). The setting is nice in one of the preetiest spots of Old... More
