Very simple food and great prices. I would love to see a change in the lighting, and a bit better service.
Family friendly restaurant in convenient location in Condado area. We wanted authentic Puerto Rican food and it was delicious!! Portions were large and prices reasonable.
Tasca de Yiyo was around the corner from the condo we rented in San Juan. The owner of the condo told us about it and Bebo's, saying the food was similar but Tasca de Yiyo's was much better. After trying both (I'll review Bebo's separately) I definitely agree. The atmosphere at Tasca de Yiyo was nothing special. The restaurant wasn't...

We walked to La Tasca from our hotel, the Acacia Seaside Inn and could not have been happier. We heard about Bebo's Cafe and walked there first. There was a long wait to be seated and it was very noisy. We walked the other way and found "La Tasca", quiet and unobtrusive. It seemed like just what we were looking...

Very nice local restaurant. Recommend the fish dishes and the mofongos. We ate here twice during our short stay in San Juan because we enjoyed it so much!
I have been here many times, always good value and excellent local and Cuban food. They have lunch specials every day, excellent chicken :gallinita" and "arroz con pollo a la chorrera". You will not find these elsewhere. Try the flan for dessert.
This is a slower paced family owned restaurant, not a factory like place that pushes you to finish...

The only disappointment I had was when we tried to return to eat there on a Sunday and walked about 2 miles to get there, but it...

The bartender at our Inn recommended this restaurant to us (and bartenders usually know what they're talking about).
Unfortuantely, they were closed on Sunday, our first night in San Juan. But we went there a couple of nights later and liked this restaurant so much we went back again for lunch a couple of days later.
The service was great...
