4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 June 2012 NEW

After a week in Santo Domingo enjoying local cuisine, I wanted to end with piña coladas, ceviche and empanadas, so my Dominican friend suggested Adrian Tropical. We chose the beachfront dining area, with tables on a patio cooled by breezes from the ocean. Service was fast, prompt and courteous. Our friendly waiter appreciated me placing my order in Spanish and... More

The food is good, but not outstanding. Locals seem to like this chain a lot. I think of it as the DR's McDonalds or Burguer King :-)

Other than the setting/ atmosphere, I didnt find anything to be outstanding, AT ALL. Dry meat, nothing tasting exceptionally fresh, overly salted sauces, uninspired menu.. and to top it off, a pubic hair in my mofongo.. not even the waitstaff could deny it.. I know that these things can happen "unintentionally", and I am not factoring that in to my... More

Try the cheese mofongo and the typical lambi. Food is really good but service is soooo slow.

I like this place. The big bird cage is cool and it has great views of the ocean. I went with my girlfriend who lives in DR and she liked their mofongo, I had rice with grilled chicken and it was very, very dry which was cool because my girl felt sorry for me and a few days later she... More

restaurant features an amazing selection of local/island foods along with expected tourist foods. best know for mafongo and the little complimentary soup (the name escapes me) but you can't go wrong with what you order. please note if you're expecting a gourmet meal it won't happen here but quality food, good service and a responsible price you will find. be... It was really pleasant there. You can eat inside or outside (which has a nice view as it's right here over the ocean). The welcome "Sancocho" is good; the service a little bit slow and the food is not over the top but good enough. The prices are also reasonnable for a restaurant in the Malecon.

I never visit Sto. Domingo without stopping here for mofongo! I've had cheese and shrimp versions and both were very good. The atmosphere is so relaxing; one of the few places right on the water (not across the street). Service is a bit slow, but who cares? It gives me time to relish in that ocean breeze.

Excellent place to eat, and relax with your family. Love their sancocho and specially their breakfest. Staff is always eager to please customers.
