Best view of the island is from this romantically historic restaurant, but come for the food and service. I really enjoy getting off the beaten path and explore the islands I visit and learn some history. The guide book gave us a good background on the fight for independence of this small Dutch island and this restaurant brought it to... More

Too bad the view is ruined by the refineries on one side and the food was almost as nauseating.too bad. I suggest just go for drinks and enjoy view. then eat dinner somewhere else.

I was surprised by how good the food was, given various reviews on TripAdvisor. However, our family had a great time there. The ambiance is amazing-the restaurant is in a very old fort. This has a feeling that you would otherwise need to visit Europe to experience.

Had lunch here. It was good food. We were in no rush and enjoyed the view of the harbor. Or party of four were the only ones in the restaurant.

We had our wedding reception at Fort Nassau and booked it only after hearing good things about it from our wedding planner and seeing a few pictures. We couldn't have been happier with our final result! The view in the evening here is amazing and the outside balcony and dinner room behind it were perfect for our wedding reception of... More

Although I'm living on the island for 6 years now, we only visited this restaurant to have a glass of wine and enjoy the view. When we came here for diner we didn't know what to expect, but were surprised by the excellent service and most of all: the food. Served rather quick and not only the taste was splendid,... More

This restaurant, which is located on top of a mountain with spectacular view over Willemstad, has an excellent kitchen and a very good choice of wines. The fortress was built in 1797 to defend the harbour entrance as well as the city and was named after the Royal family.

It was a known fact that this restaurant was heavily overpriced. Since a few months new management has taken over. The view is still stunning and this time it was great food, good service for a good price.

My wife came up with the perfect description for our meal: Banquet Food - sufficient for a wedding with 200 guests, but not memorable, and certainly not worth the price.
