Just got back from Havana. Loved this place. Went there twice. Price reasonable. Service and ambiance excellent. Food relatively good for the rest of Havana. Lots of good tapas to choose from if you are not hungry. Recommended it to fellow travellers we met in Havana.

I led a restaurant tour of Havana and this was our first stop. The food at the restaurant is very traditional Cuban food. While a lot of paladars in Cuba have mixed with international influences for their cuisine, this place is great for straight by the book traditional Cuban food. We started with several appetizers before our main meal. We... More

A la carte, so we could choose our meal rather than the usual 'all included tourist meal'. It was our second visit (visited NAO last year on a previous Havana trip) Excellent food, prompt service with a good selection of wines. Ok, it was a little expensive compared to some paladars but, as they say, you get what you pay... More

Our best meal during our 8-days trip to Cuba was in the NAO. Good atmosphere, fresh ingredients, over-friendly staff. It is called Paladar, but don't expect a small home-restaurant with a family: this is like a good cosy French restaurant serving Carabian meals. What puzzles us a bit, is the pice-level: our bill for a complete male of 70CUC was... More

A new wave of private restaurants has swept the Havana scene, NAO represents the new wave of paladares offering exciting cuisine in atmospheric surroundings. During my recent visit to Havana I ate at NAO on more than one occasion and always found the food, service, pricing and the friendliness of the staff to be excellent. NAO and Dona Eutemia are... Thank you so much for your comments!! I'm really happy to know when our clients are satisfied with our food and service. It's not easy for us to become a Restaurant that's why we called ourselves Paladar...a place to enjoy Cuban food, made by Cubans and surrounded by the noisy atmosphere of the Old Havana streets. I'm far from Havana... More

Another very good dinner and excellent service, and an oasis of calm! And the price was reasonable too (55 CUC for the 2 of us)

This restaurant is warm and inviting, but the service is terrible. Drinks arrived in a timely manner but food is another matter. After we gave our order it took not just 10, 15, or 20 minutes to get it but about 30+ minutes. We ordered bread and it came just before the main meal so there was quite a wait.... More

This delivered the goods: strong mojitos, good wine and tasty food. I particularly enjoyed the shrimps in tomato sauce. Just off the Plaza de Armes, this is worth a look. Restaurants in Havana are changing fast and it is difficult to keep track.

This place is a gem, hidden upstairs in an alleyway close to Hotel Santa Isabel. The head waiter, who bears a slight resemblance to the actor Stanley Tucci, was utterly charming: attentive but not over the top. The food and drinks were both excellent, and the final bill was a pleasant surprise. Not as expensive as Paladar Los Mercaderes while... More

What an interesting and fun restaurant in Old Havana. We had a delicious lunch at Nao, with great service. What a pleasurable experience. We felt so comfortable-- warmly welcomed and felt like family. This is a very elegant, but not expensive paladar. We had fun, we had a great meal and we had a very memorable lunch at Nao.
