We were at San Cristobal twice, the service is fine, paying attention to the clients, the food is good, and there is a green eyed waiter who made us the best mojito ever.. The bathroom is a fully equipped one, with bathtub and everything :) You feel like in a palace.. Recommended!
We found a review of this restaurant from a Guardian article entitled 'Top 10 paladares in Havana', in February 2012, and visited San Cristobal in April 2012, while on our honeymoon. We weren't disappointed, because the friendly service, cosy atmosphere & excellent food all added up to our favourite meal during our 2-week trip. We had a tapas style mix...

This paladar in Havana was lovingly put together with so many interesting things to look at, and each of their several rooms had a distinct personality. Ultimately chose to eat al fresco in a lovely courtyard. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable early on a week night. Whenever I think about San Cristobal, I remember the countless...

Paladars are the "free enterprise" experiment in Cuba. This one lived up to all expectations: charm, excellent choice and food, good service, and ambiance. Notice the 1930s silverware & china. The chef is the owner. It would be a shame to miss this one. Don't try to walk there. You will get lost. Make sure your taxi (take an old...

This restaurant was an oasis of charm and good dining in a bit of a waste land. The owner takes great trouble to decorate it beautifully, the staff are charming and the food is good. I would return here.
Nice environment - but the room needed more fans or windows! We had two full tables in two rooms. We had great service - the other room had terrible service. Food was good - but we had better meals at other restaurants (see my other reviews).
Restaurant San Cristobol, 469 San Rafael, Havana
We had some pretty bad food around Cuba and being foodies this was pretty disappointing. However this place made for a refreshing change. Whilst the food is not fantastic, it is definitely a level above any other restaurants we visited. To be honest the whole experience is better than the food itself as...

Just got back from Havana and had a great meal at San Cristobal. The food was very good. The decor was very interesting and different. Chef Carlos and the server Carlos were extremely friendly. I was surplisingly pleased with the whole experience. I will defenitely go back on my next visit.
We were in Havana for a week and ate at San Cristobal towards the end of the week. We went with the most traditional Cuban cuisine of masitas, plantains and beans and rice. The meat was a bit overcooked (as it seems to be everywhere), but otherwise the meal was very good. They also served the best mojito I had...
