Are expectations were more than exceeded. You can not go wrong with the catch of the day. Friendly and very knowledgeable service -- made the dining experience with our 3 year old a wonderful experience. Only complaint is that they do need to have a child's menu -- just a half portion or catch of the day or pasta would... More

We recently had dinner at Cariba during our 10 day trip to Barbados. Cariba is located in a chattel house in Payne's Bay. The atmosphere is authentic- no air conditioning or frills. Dinner is served on the terrace and the menu features a variety of local fish and seafood curries. The friendly owner mingles with his patrons and ensures that... More

We'd read about Cariba on TA and decided to give it a try. Very glad we did as it made a very pleasant change from some of the other trendier locations. The food and service were excellent and we will certainly return.

We visited Cariba last night on the back of reviews on trip advisor and was not disappointed. Whilst the building may be quaint and it's not next to the sea, the friendliness, service and food make up for all of this. We had the shrimp cocktail and satay for starters which was when I knew we were in for a... More

We ate at Cariba last year and returned this year to find that it was just as good. Small and intimate and good food. Well worth seeking out, we wish Glen (Chef/owner) continued success.

Had a wonderful meal at Cariba... Food was excellent & in such a quaint location in a chattel house.. The service was so friendly & nothing too much trouble & the chef Glen came out after our meal and asked how it was & was genuinely interested in our views... It is so much better than Daphne's .. Cannot recommed... More

A lovely restaurant, not on the beach but who cares! Modern caribbean cuisine beautifully presented and delicious tasting. Service excellent and very friendly. the owner and chef, Glen, makes a huge effort to come and talk to all the guests and he even finds out your names before chatting. Excellent value.

Off the main road near The Cliff. A lovely chattel house that has been well converted to a restaurant. Staff were courteous and friendly - made you feel right at home. Wine was good value and the food extremely well cooked. I has the Jerk Pork chop which was nearly perfect - I prefer my Jerk a bit spicier and... More

The Cariba does look very basic, shoved around the back of some buildings, not a place with a view, however the food and flavours were absolutely fantastic and the service charming and very genuine. It was a real treat but not a Rolls Royce & Tiara venue, more like eating in a locals home! Would definitely go back for the... More

We visited this lovely restaurant at the end of our holiday and wished we had gone sooner as we would have visited again. The food was very good, a chicken sate for starter and a delicious prawn curry beautifully served for the main course. The Chef and owner came and spoke to us at the end of the meal and... More
