We love the place. We got a Groupon, and enjoyed the food and service. Then we went back for our 3 year anniversary and again great service. We loved the Rockfish, the staff, and overall great!

We've been to Pepe's many times and have always loved it. BUT... We went last month and the food was still great but service was a disaster; slow, forgetful, out of common beers and wines. We were more then willing to give them an "off night" (because the food is still very good), so we went back last night and... More

The food was delicious. We had mussels for an appetizer, and shared two entres: halibut with a morel mushrrom sauce, and scallops wrapped in proscuitto. The food was very, very good. However, the prices were off the charts. As my husband said, "they could charge these prices if the restaurant were at the top of a mountain."

A group of us friends have been trying out different restaurants in the Anchorage area with a review book in hand. We used a Groupon to try out this place, and were quite pleased with our dining experience. White table clothes, flaming fireplace added to the classy, Alaskan atmoshere. We had no issues with the service. Two from our party... More

Ever since Turnagain House was under new ownership, my husband & I had wanted to check it out for a very long time. Remembering the good ol' days of Turnagain House, I really hoped that this "new" owner who is classically trained would make a great place even better. Finally, the opportunity presented itself (thanks to Groupon!) and away we... More

We bought a Groupon that purported to deliver $133 worth of food for $50. The Groupon required advance reservations (do they turn some Groupon people away even though they have open tables?) and we called eight times between 4 and 6 o'clock (Recording: "please call after 3 pm.") We decided to try an end-around by reserving through opentable.com and putting... More

We looked forward to a great seafood meal along with the great view. Oysters were very good. Service was OK. Pepe's creation of the Spanish seafood dish, Paella, was poor, at best. At $30 each it advertised shrimp, mussels, halibut, salmon and scallops. We each got four small shrimp, two mussels, two small clams, small chunks of halibut and salmon... More

We stopped at this restauraunt on Seward Road at about milepost 100 for a bite to eat, we ended up with almost a 2 hr dinner of exceptional tast and service! We were luky as it was before the usual dinner hour, as reservations are highly suggested at least on the weekends! The meal actually sings with flavor. It was... More

Right across the highway from Cook Inlet, it seems every table in the restaurant has a beautiful view! The service is wonderful and the servers friendly. Pepe's wife's son was our waiter. Pepe also came out to check on us mid-meal. Our party's entrees included steak as well as two type of halibut entrees. All was delicious. The crab stuffed... More

Between Girdwood and Anchorage on the Seward Hwy lies a gem that if you are not careful, you will drive right by. We were staying in Girdwood and wanted to get out of the small town, so we drove toward Anchorage to check out the area to find another restaurant. We were enjoying the mountains and watching the water in... More
