Jeez, take cheese and crackers, and enjoy. Better yet, cold beer at cedar grove. Heaven is a cheeseburger at the end of the trail. Everything but the house on it.

They say they serve the same food as Grant's Grove but somehow it tastes better down in the Canyon. Maybe our 10 mile hike had something to do with it or it could have been the staff were pleasant and helpful. Have to buy your beer next door and borrow and opener before you go out on the patio.

This is as good as it can get a long way from the enclave of Grant Grove Village. Apart from a little lodge on the way here, this is the place for some decent food if you don’t happen to bring your own - prices and quality match the location! Situated on the ground floor of the Lodge, it’s more... More

We stopped in last Sunday afternoon. The area is beautiful and the snack bar is clean. The bad part was the awful service at the counter from a very grumpy, mean, older woman. I was shocked at how rude and unpleasant she was for no reason at all. The food was mediocre, which consisted of a hamburger with no flavor... More

Food was well prepared and fresh. I had a Turkey Wrap and my wife had a slice of Pizza. Nothing fancy but fresh and filling.

In the middle of nowhere, the ONLY place to eat, literally at the end of the road, this little snack bar had a trout dinner as good as I've had anywhere. What a surprise!! Prices were very reasonable.

We spent one night at the Cedar Grove Lodge and had dinner at the snack bar. From all of what I had read before going I went with very low expectations and was surprised at how good it was. I had the best trout of our road trip at this little place. It was served with a nice fresh salad,... More

This is the only place to eat on the floor of kings canyon. Its a basic hot dog and burger place (when its open). Its located next to the store/giftshop and the restaurant part is only open during on a limited basis. (at least when we were there in may) The best part of this place is the view you... More

The service was ok. The formica-topped booths were not particularly comfortable. The food was nothing to write home about. Yes, it's in the middle of nowhere and what should anyone expect? Well, maybe something a little better.

OK it is a snack bar. And it is the ONLY place to eat within a 45 minute drive. They did surprise us at dinner. Steaks, trout, and baked potatoes are added to their usual burger and fries cuisine. The trout was delicious and fresh. More surprising was the cellophane box of salad. It had a spring mix with arugula that... More
