I love trout. it definitely takes a long time to get into the dining room so get there early but have a few cocktails in the lounge before while your waiting! I had excellent service and loved the views from the gigantic windows!

Much too expensive for the offered quality; especially with an atmosphere like a bunker. Attention first come, first serve; NO reservations and this can cost a lot of waiting time!
The view was wonderful, food okay and turnaround decent. For our one trip there, it was great.
We ate at the Many Glacier hotel in late August 2011. The main dining room was being renovated, so we ate in the lounge, which offers the same menu as the main dining room. On the plus side, our server was friendly and efficient. But the food was awful. I ordered the special, which was ribs in an orange bbq...

My husband, son and I decided to splurge while we were camping in the park. We shared the elk and buffalo sausage appetizer - which was really good. I had a curry vegetarian dish, my husband had the salmon, we both enjoyed our entrees. The prices were reasonable considering the view, and the service was very good.
Ptarmigan dining room is closed this summer 2011 but dining is in the interlaken room and the lounge. Meals always perfect(venaison sausages, crabcake, trout, bison, desserts,..). Service is perfect, not too fast and no waiting time. View is terrific. To recommand...
We stopped by many glacier hotel so we could go on the boat tour. We decided to kill time and eat lunch here. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. The food however was mediocre. I guess I shouldnt expect much from a restaurant in the middle of nowhere in a national park but I think the sandwich...

I've read the other reviews of this resurant and frankly, I'm shocked. Yes, the view is spectacular. Yes, the staff was very friendly. But as for people saying this was the best meal of their trip.... I'm a teacher, and I have eaten better meals at my school's cafeteria. Maybe we just picked a bad day or something....my husband and...

Dear GlensBabyBlu,
I was, as perhaps expected, disappointed to read this review. We have clearly failed to meet your expectations. We have one of the most beautiful dining rooms in the country here at Many Glacier, and we would like for our food to get the same reaction as the breathtaking view out the window.
I have passed on your...

I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. My friend and I both had the salmon along with a couple microbrews. The server (Hannah Montana...really!) was on top of her game and was attentive throughout our meal. This makes up for our lousy meal at the Cattle Baron.
Thank you very much for this positive review. It means so much to have our guests satisfied and content. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.
We hope that we can welcome you back to the our dining room here at the Many Glacier Hotel soon.

Dining room is certainly a win for its spectacular views. It was breathtaking and we could see wildlife from our table! Take a photo on the deck of the lodge after dinner, too! Food was pretty good, but skip the cheese fondue - it was really lackluster. Portions were adequate and variety of menu was great for in the park....
