It looks so inviting from the roadside, with a promise of good hearty fare. The bar area was full of weekenders drinking, smoking, laughing, watching rugby and generally having a good time. We asked for a table outside, so we could look over the view, the neighbouring plot has a few springbok who made the right sort of grunting sounds... More

The Barn, now called Ed's Diner is exactly that, a local no frills restaurant with simple food choices. We had lunch at this restaurant and we chose to sit outside as the large inside dining area felt very empty. Simple food and as the new name suggests, a diner. The owner has an impressive collection of vintage cars on display (and they are for sale). The previous restaurant The Barn was more into gourmet food.
