I read the reviews for this restaurant, some good and some bad. I am not a fussy eater, will eat pretty much anything once, so i thought i would give it a try. Lucky Tom's is a Thai restaurant with a heavily themed german twist.
Only reviewing "german" type food as stated on their menu as had so much thai...

We ate at Lucky Toms following a recommendation from a local. I had the best meal of ginger crab. Lots of fresh crab meat & ginger. My partner had a pork dish. Both were we'll prepared. Generous portions, but not too much. I had the coconut/orange juice - just the thing after a hot day. Highly recommend this place.
I was in Kata Beach for 3 days in early May and this place is one of my favorites. It used to have two restaurants facing each other across the street, but now the boss has changed the smaller one into a massage parlor (I tried as well and it's great). The food in Lucky Tom's was great in quality...

An awesome experience eating at Lucky Tom's. A wonderful team, Tom and his wife, his son, his mother. The food is beautiful and they go out of your way to make you welcome. We have been going there for 8 years and to date have never been disappointed with the food. They will cater to your tastes and even when...

The curries here are yummy! The service is awesome. There was a big chinese group that came through who seemed to be quite demanding, the staff coped really well!
great food. prices unbelievable. you get a portion of crab MEAT curry for something like 250-300 baht, whereas at other places you get only a crab or two for that price! and you have to know - one crab has almost no meat :) staff was incredibly nice. would go there anytime again!
We've stayed in Kata Beach the past 2 years and Lucky Tom's is our favourite restaurant. The Thai food is delicious - our favourites are Pad Thai, spicy cashew nut salad (overflowing with cashews) and Som Tom (green mango salad). Pad Thai for B65 is a bargain. We are vegetarians and they happily prepare the dishes with extra veg. They've...

We didn't really know of this place but were looking for a dinner location when we came across Lucky Tom's. Not really much atmosphere or view but friendly staff and the food was very enjoyable. Worth a visit.
After reading some of the reviews on TA we decided to pay a visit to Lucky Tom's, I'm so glad we did the food was great especially the Thai papaya salad. It was so good we went back again for dinner on the night of my Birthday :o)
