We were recommended to marmita by our hotel at Artemis suites. It wasn't busy as it was the begining of the season and were treated like royalty. Recommendations are definitely the fava beans with their fresh baked bread as well as the mussels as a starter. I had the rooster (cock) and it was incredibly tasty. And my girlfriend had... More

The outside area is very charming. Some people may not like that the owners dogs go from table to table (we liked them). I had the cod with tomoatoes and it was very good. The chicken fillet was a bit hard but the sauce was amazing. A very enjoyable experience (and I am extremely picky when it comes to good... More

The food was exceptional, as was the service. The ambiance was wonderful and we were extremely pleased with everything about this restaurant. We would definitely dine here again!

I have been to Santorini 9 times and thought I had seen everything there is to see but was delighted to come across this beautiful setting whilst exploring Megalochori. It's like finding a little oasis! Stunning setting in the village square surrounded by fragrant flowers, this reminded me of a mixture of Italy, Greece and Spain all in one. My... More

I visited this place with 5 others ,and we all loved it. The food was just delicious. It was very quiet as we went in May and we were the only ones in there, and they didnt have a lot of stuff on the menu, but the service was excellent and the food we had was unbeatable. We really felt... More

Excellent atmosphere either outdoor or indoor. Very friendly owners and staff. The food is delicious made from local ingredients. Non touristic, many local people prefer this restaurant.

We were recommended Marmita's and were so glad that we made the effort to go! In fact, so impressed were we that we decided to cancel our wedding reception at another taverna and re-booked with Marilou! The prices were reasonable and we actually saved 40euros a head by booking with them.....!! In total we ate there about 4 times and... More

We ate here four times during our 7 day stay in Megalochori so it must be good. The food is stunning, not a huge menu but everything we ate was delicious. Even the fava (a traditional Santorini dish) was the best we tasted. The setting in the village square is beautiful. And Milan and Marylou make Marmita an event -... More

Every time that I visit Santorini, I'm dining at least once at Marmita! Mrs. Marilou (the owner) is very kind, with her great smile, but above all food is just Perfect and the atmosphere in Megalochori Village is very romantic... Some people could say, "there is no caldera view, why would I go there?" but believe me, it's worth it!!!
