Small restaurant with authentic local cooking. The dorado was delicious. Tried grilled sardines for the first time - not bad! Service was attentive.
Delicious food, cosy restaurant, very low prices. Owner very gentle. The chef came to check if the food was ok and is a very gentle person. One of the greates attractions of the Douro valley IMO.
This is one of the place were you can say "I enjoy everything". The owners (two brothers, one man and one woman) served home-made food cooked with season ingredients. Don't forget to try "carne de porco com castanhas" (pork meat with chestnuts), "o bolo de chila" (a cake made with a white pumpkin and cinnamon) and the local Porto wine.
Don't be fooled by the modest entrance which looks like a local bar. On 1. floor there is a restaurant with only 4 tables. The hosts sister cooks fantastic homemade food, both fish and meat. The batatas fritas is just fantastic!! Dont miss the veal steak or the vegetable soup. Walls are covered in greetings from satisfied customers from all...

Get some of the porco with almonds, traditional family place :)
The restaurant is like a living room of a prived house, on the 1st floor (climbing the stairs be careful with your head if you are tall).
The dining room only as 4 tables and the walls are covered with messages of satisfied clients from all over the world (I read some of this papers...)
I eated there the best...
