I love Andros and i visit every year. When i am in a Greek island i prefer eating Greek food. Stamatis taverna is exactly what i had in mind. It has all the greek delicacies, aubergine salad, pastitsio, lobster with pasta!!i love them all. One day, Kalirroi made these amazing tomato balls!!!!please include them in the menu. They were excellent!!

It has been several years since we visited Batsi & as we were over for a family wedding in October most places were shut.Stamatis was open as always & since our last visit have opened The Veranda - opposite the original restaurant.Really nicely done out & would be fabulous sitting there in the summer with a view over the bay... Stamatis is, I think, the oldest restaurant in Batsi: it's also one of the best. it's also open all year round - the only eating place in Batsi to do that. It occupies a corner site up some stairs beside Batsi port. There are no views, but lots of opportunities to watch passers-by from the tables outside in the street.... More
