Great little sushi bar and Japanese restaurant. Best on the island for sure!!! I had the Philadelphia with salmon rolls and the avocado with salmon rolls. Both tasted fantastic... Will be back soon...

Small, cozy and quiet sushi restaurant, with a japanese chef clearly knowing his stuff. Well worth a visit if you want a change from traditional thai food with some proper sushi.

Small little restaurant but cute...was full on the night we went. A big group was already seated so we knew based on the reviews that the wait would be long and of course it was. Not an issue for us, we anticipated this. It took the better part of a full hour before we saw any food at all, well... More

A small restaurant with no japanese style at all, this "famous" chef were no where to be seen and the food was made by a thai lady who clearly dont know how to make sushi... The food look terrible, came late, Even tho there was only 4 tables and 3 were full. We only got half the food ordered, but... More

Ageha Sushi in Lamai is a traditional sushi restaurant: no conveyor belts, no J-pop tunes blaring, no flashy gimmicks. This place looks and feels and tastes like a sushi bar straight out of suburban Tokyo. What they have here is an experienced Japanese sushi master, working solo, and preparing the best sushi we have had in Thailand Other dishes we... More

This is by far my best experience with Authentic Japanese cuisine is Samui (Yeah, the chef is Japanese and he used to work in a restaurant in Tokyo, it cannot get more authentic than that.) I live on the island and always enjoy the pleasure of eating here twice or three times a month. Lots of varieties in terms of... More

Definitely a gem placed in Samui. The chef is Japonese and does a great work, with lots of sympathy. The food is fresh and abundant. They even offered fruit as desert and sake. The price is also a good surprise.

The chef is japanese, that's true. And the dishes are authentic. But he is the only one who prepare food in this restaurant. We have to wait an hour and half for our meal. But in the end have to go away without eating all courses because after an hour and forty five minutes they've discovered that they don't have... More

This is a proper sushi restaurant. The sushi chef is japanese and not a trained thai guy in a very expensive restaurant. This is his restaurant where he buys the fish himself in the morning and serves fresh for you that day. He makes use of the local fish and as such you get the freshest sushi and sashimi with... More

I have been living on Koh samui for four years but I have only found out about this restaurant. I have usually eaten in Otaru an other nice restaurant located in Chaweng, but I found Ageha 10 times better. The fish is local (except tuna and salmon) and superfresh. The chef works alone with a lovely assistant and the place... More
