Small, cozy and quiet sushi restaurant, with a japanese chef clearly knowing his stuff. Well worth a visit if you want a change from traditional thai food with some proper sushi.
Small little restaurant but cute...was full on the night we went. A big group was already seated so we knew based on the reviews that the wait would be long and of course it was. Not an issue for us, we anticipated this.
It took the better part of a full hour before we saw any food at all, well...

Ageha Sushi in Lamai is a traditional sushi restaurant: no conveyor belts, no J-pop tunes blaring, no flashy gimmicks. This place looks and feels and tastes like a sushi bar straight out of suburban Tokyo.

Lots of varieties in terms of...

The chef is japanese, that's true. And the dishes are authentic. But he is the only one who prepare food in this restaurant. We have to wait an hour and half for our meal. But in the end have to go away without eating all courses because after an hour and forty five minutes they've discovered that they don't have...

This is a proper sushi restaurant. The sushi chef is japanese and not a trained thai guy in a very expensive restaurant. This is his restaurant where he buys the fish himself in the morning and serves fresh for you that day. He makes use of the local fish and as such you get the freshest sushi and sashimi with...

I have been living on Koh samui for four years but I have only found out about this restaurant.
I have usually eaten in Otaru an other nice restaurant located in Chaweng, but I found Ageha 10 times better.
The fish is local (except tuna and salmon) and superfresh. The chef works alone with a lovely assistant and the place...
