Despite its shabby outward appearance (it was the village hall) this place is excellent. High quality food, excellent friendly service and value for money. Make sure you go to this cafe if you are in the area and take your own bottle of wine.

Simple food, well cooked. I did feel a bit of intruder when I walked in. If there had been a piano player he would have stopped, but then he wouldn't have walked in from Beinn Eighe, possibly not as clean as he should have been. I haven't seen so many people bringing in bottles of alcohol in brown paper bags...

First visited The Whistle Stop Cafe last summer. I immediately came on to trip advisor to tell everyone how it was. It's still fantastic........great menu, good fresh food, friendly people......perfect really
The cafe is in an old village hall and isn't particularly attractive from the outside but I'm very glad that I stopped there. I had a lovely lunch of a chicken BLT and fries with a good cappuccino all reasonably priced especially taking into account the remote location. The service was second to home - homely and welcoming without being...

Kinlochewe is a remote spot, and there is little by way of local completion. All the more credit then to what has been achieved here with good quality ingredients and sound cooking. Other proprietors take note - Well Done!
After reading previous reviews we decided to go and check out The Whistle Stop Cafe whilst camping at the caravan park next door in Kinlochewe, we were not disappointed. The food was of a very high standard, washed down with a bottle of red we brought along because you are welcome to. The cafe has a relaxed cheerful ambience with...

I can think of few places in the west highlands where they serve good coffee and don't scald the milk. This is one. The scones are as good as the coffee. So impressed we came back for dinner later. Hearty portions of very fresh food: scallops were done just right. Good banter from the chef. I have to wonder if...

This is not our first visit to Whistle Stop Cafe and it certainly won't be our last. Always get fantastic food at a great price and made to feel welcome. Hubby enjoyed a double burger, from a local butcher and it was very tasty, a proper burger. I enjoyed the Whistle Stop Cafe's equivalent of croque monsieur. There is also...

We went out of season and got really good food and pleasant company. I would still recommend this cafe even though they only were able to give me my third choice of main and second of drink. It's not licensed but you can take your own and they don't charge corkage. The staff were friendly and helpful, the 2 other...

Popped in whilst staying down the road, found both the choice of food and hospitality brilliant . they could even accomodate a fussy autistic eater. lovely warm log burner ,books and board games to keep the children amused plus my husband says the fresh banana milkshakes are to die for, will be back next year
