Superb fish and chips. Although very busy, they are open until 10 on weekdays (6pm on Sat), so easy to go there when it is quiet. So much better, tastier and cleaner than a certain other nearby fish shop.

Consistently good fish and chips and extremely popular for that reason. Be prepared to queue at busy times. Although quiet when I called, what happened to service with a smile? Was made to feel like an inconvenience whilst cashing up. Would still return though having said that, just wont expect a friendly welcome - sorry

Heard about Shaws through a recommendation. Visited today for the first time and I have to say we were impressed. We have been coming here for years and have always found the food to be excellent. To achieve such high standards all the time is amazing. We have tried others around Barnsley but are sure Shaws is the best.

There's no better fish and chips within a 50 mile radius...the very best by far. I pass 3 other chippy to get to Shaws and Q when there's no Q at any other chippy.
