The service at Barrel o' Beer was friendly enough, although some of the staff were very absent minded, forgetting items and parts of orders. Food was tiny portions on massive plates for big prices. I felt the quality of the food we received did not match the price or the quality we were expecting especially in a 'fishing village'. More

The host is most friendly and is keen to chat about his special place. I have been here twice in recent years and the standard has not slipped. Some may find the close proximity of the tables a bit cramped but it all adds to the casualness and being able to chat to different people. The fish is outstanding. More
