We went for lunch on Sunday and it was delicious. Very friendly helpful staff great food and it was a lunch special one course £10 two for £14 or three for £17. Exceptional value. But I'd still go back even if there was no offer it was so nice. More

Rather down market setting belies the quality and sophistication of the food on off. Rather tiny chairs make for uncomfortable seating, but the fish menu more than makes up for that More

Even though they had a large group of WI in, we were still served in a timely manner. Service was great and the chef even popped out to say hello. Starters were excellent, main was superb? We both declined pudding, as we were both full. Wines were not extortionate either. My starter was a seafood tasting plate with scallop. Lovely.... More

Came here and stayed locally overnight - its the only way. The restaurant is a bit basic, but the food is really ambitious. This is good seafood and you need to stay here to get the crab and lobster the next day from the fishermen on the beach - one you have eaten such a great meal ~at Steamers More

Great food and friendly service in a sophisticated (for Devon) environment. It is good to see that the standard of food that is enjoyed by most people in cities is finally being made available in some really remote locations - at a reasonable price! Lovely local produce and a good and reasonable wine list. I enjoyed the rib eye steak... More

We have just returned from Beer in Cornwall where we had lunch at Steamers. We received a warm welcome and great service. We chose the three course lunch menu at £17 and there was plenty of choice. The pheasant terrine with pineapple and onion marmalade was wonderful and set the taste buds going. The pork medallions were cooked perfectly and... More

We have eaten here a lot recently. The midweek meal is so resonable for the quality of the food. The wine is also an affordable price. The staff are friendly and it is just such a lovely place to sit whether it is for coffee/lunch or evening meal. I highly recommend it. More
