The food and atmosphere was very good. The lasagna was excellent and a very large portion. A very nice italian restaurant when you need a break from rice and beans.
This Italian-Amercan born and raised in NYC thinks this is the real stuff. My 2nd visit in twocweeks. Great pasta with sausage. Excellent pizza. DH loves the lasagna and he enjoys it every time he orders it. The service is great. Nice Bocelli music. Good atmosphere. Looking forward to another visit before heading home.
When we travel we love to sample to traditional foods of the region, but sometimes we try other things. This Italian restaurant was recommended to us by some people we met at our hotel. It was good, but not great. It was a nice change from the rice and beans that we had most days. Though we liked our meal,... More
We actually went to this restaurant two evenings that we were there because it was so good the first time around. The Rigatoni and the Homemade Spaghetti Bolognese were excellent, also their pizza is very good.

They forgot the appetizer and the mojitos were $15 each, which was high compared to other places. My son has eaten there before and had a better meal. But they say everything is... More

Other people speak about Italian food, i wonder where they learned about it , or in "the sopranos" or in a bad pizza place in new york. Food was tasteless kind of pre-packed and warm up at the last moment. I have tryed other... More

The food was great, and the service was terrific. Lanterna is a very authentic Italian restaurant with Costa Rican influence in the fish and... More
We went to this restaurant two times in one week. My college son, who loves the restaurants in Italy, considers this one to be on par with some of the best in Italy.
If you are in the mood for excellent Italian food, visit Lanterna in Los Suenos' Marina Village. The setting is beautiful. Bocelli music. Two of us had Arrabiatta over penne pasta (one gluten free). The hot sausage was tasty, the sauce seasoned just right. Also had spinach, olives and some sweet peppers. One had their excellent lasagna. Two others very... More
