We had a wonderful meal at Barbun on our last night in Alacati, We chose the tasting menu and were very pleased with what we had. All beautifully prepared and the service was excellent. The reason I have not given an overall rating of Excellent is I feel that the prices charged are not in line with the eating experience.... More

The food is good, but the presentation and the experience is fantastic. Eating olives of a olive plant, eggs from a nest. very Heston like and fun.

We found Barbun via luck since the initial restaurant we intended was full and this turned out to be a great experience. The selections are not the local cuisine but rather a gourmet selection of multiple cuisines and this is quite uncommon in small places like Alacati. The appetizers were great and the main dish following it was awesome. The... More

This place was recommended to us by the hotel owner. The first course was ok at best. Onion with dill was ok at best. Truffle risotto was good but pricey. Ten lira charge per person for bread and water??? Service was ok until there was five tables and the waiter was overwhelmed. I would not go there again given the... More

Barbun definitely gives you a different experience in classical holiday scene. The presentation and the ingredients of the starters are excellent. Also i really like that the young chefs present their own makings. The main dishes are again different for a summer holiday menu. Barbun is an important part of the Alacati ambiance. If you are looking for something new,... More

After reading contradictionary the tripadvior reviews, we we're curious to go there to make our own opinion. Expecting gourmet food, we were accepting the very high prices at first. My son choose the truffle risotto, my wife the Levrek fish and I had the big trial 22 course trial menue. What a disappointment. Risotto and fish were average and not... More

We do like fine dining and we try to experience regional cuisines as much as we can during our stays. This time the food was totally boring. The restaurant was recommended by the owner of the hotel we were staying in and we definitely took the advice to see what was out there. Well; there wasnt much to see since... More
